For almost 20 years Kathy Wilson has been working in the home and garden industry. First as a decorating and garden consultant, then as a freelance writer, author and columnist. Ms. Wilson is known on the internet and in the press as"The Budget Decorator".
She is a home decorating expert for LifetimeTV.com and is the editor of several top ranked websites including TheBudgetDecorator.com. She has had articles published in such national venues as HGTV.com, IVillage.com, Country Woman Magazine, Move.com, Decorating Solutions Magazine, and hundreds of online publications. Ms. Wilson published her first book in 2002 that spent time on Amazon.com's Top Seller list, and hopes to publish her second in the near future. She is the mother of 5 children, ages 9 to 22, and resides in Washington state.
When she is not writing or caring for family, she loves gardening, decorating, photography, reading and spending time in the outdoors.
